getting married.

hi all,i getting married very soon the the phils,i have all the documents needed except the legal capacity to contract marriage.im told i need this from british embassy.even though i have my proof of non marriage.
ive emailed british embassy in london 3 times and british embassy in manila but heard nothing back.
has anyone else had trouble getting this document??

Mr. David,

You need to go personally at British Embassy in Manila sir, as email wont do you good. It is not the British Embassy that require you for the legal capacity but the Philippines itself.

Hi David, hope its not late.

female_expat is right, you have to go to British Embassy here in Philippines. Present your proof of non-marriage. They will be the one who will give you the Certificate of Legal Capacity.

Hello , To everyone here in the Philippines my name Gary ........ I been living here here in Phil and was curious to know If I get married in the Phil . What the average wait time to bring my spouse to the US once we apply for I-130 spousal petition.

In 2004 the wait was 11 months, about 6 months for a fiancee visa.  My understanding is that the spousal visa wait time has almost doubled since then.  Good luck

Is it possible to get a visa for my Philippina wife to visit the US for a month or so.We live in the Philippines and do not wish to live in the US but my mother is old and not in good health and I would like her to meet my family.Any help would be appreciated.

the chances are 50/70 American embassy in Phil. is too strict,too many question and lots of documents support needed. The good thing was, try and try until they succeed I just hope your mom still in good health after the American embassy give them approval, goodluck anyway. :)

wow your the 1st caribeno that ive seen here,in in nyc now and will visit sometime next year,i hope we can be friends and stay in contact,i havent beeen to iloilo,but plan to in the future,can you tell me how you feel comparing your country with the Philippines?muchas gracias ponle bachata y merenque hahahaha.
