Some popular matters of Toyota Vios

Post new topic

Anne Cris

Hi all, here are my Toyota Vios's problems I usually meet:

1: Suddenly stop working
2: The car won't start
3: Stalling starts to occur more regularly
4: Power window doesn’t work
5: Noise from the steering system
6: Vibration while the car is in idle mode & the air-con is on

How can I deal with them? Does anyone have experience?

I'm assuming you have a used car.

Ask for referrals from friends for a trusted mechanic.   Or you can bring it to a Toyota service center (more expensive though than a mechanic) to have it checked.

We used to have a Toyota Vios, grey metallic color. It was totaled just last year. The insurance company took it and paid us money for it.

If your Vios suddenly stops working without any signs, the problem most likely lies in the electrical system. In this case, you are advised to:

If there’s no damage or corrosion, check the burnt cables;
In case both of the cables and fuse box are in good condition, there is possibly something wrong with the spark ignition controller or electronic fuel injection.
On the other hand, if you hear unsual sound before the engine stops working, the clogged fuel line might be the reason for this problem. The solution is to clean the fuel line or replace the fuel filter.
