If that is the cost of living i would consider sicily where you can live with 800 euros a month very well

Surely this must be wrong!!!! If you take the first two amounts this is almost 110.000 rupees?

- the appartment is in which area
- appartment has how many bed rooms

Costs are always subjective but my opinions:

€ 1,500 for a monthly rent is not much if you are renting a high end apartment or a villa.

However € 1,200 for groceries is a huge amount...MUR 10,000 monthly for a family of 4 is sufficient.

€ 250 for utilities is also high unless you are running the AC for hours everyday.

This is what most expats pay for rentals, some of the cheaper rentals will have you waking up to chickens and dogs going crazy at 3am!!!!
