How much does it cost to rent an apartment or a house in Russia?
We pay 100000 rubles for 95sq.m apartment in Park Place near metro Yugozapadnaya (Leninsky prospekt)
How much do you pay on average for public transportation (bus, subway, train, tram, taxi)?
Per person approx. 2000 rubles per month
How much do you pay for electricity/gas/water etc., per month?
Cost included in rent.

The price varies significantly by location, size, and condition.

How much do you pay on average for public transportation (bus, subway, train, tram, taxi)?
A 30-day pass for buses and the metro system costs 2,075 RUR.

How much do you pay for basic food items such as rice, bread, and pasta?
This can vary a lot based on the type of each. White rice is generally about 60 RUR per 500 g. A standard loaf of white bread is about 30 RUR. And small bag of basic pasta is also about 30 RUB.

What is your monthly budget for groceries?
For a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) it is about 30k RUR.

How much does it cost to see a doctor/dentist/physician/specialist in Russia?
If you are covered by the State health care system it is 0. If you have decent insurance it is also usually 0. If you pay out of pocket the prices vary greatly for the service and between clinics. I think it is around EUR 100-150 for a consultation at a place like the European Medical Center.

How much do you pay for health insurance per month?
Many have it included from their employer.

What is your child's schooling budget per month?
It ranges from 0 at a state school to over EUR 25,000 per year at an international school.

How much does it cost to fill up your car’s fuel tank?
I don’t have a car.

How much do you pay for electricity/gas/water etc., per month?
Our total utilities add up to about 6,000 RUR per month.

How much do you pay for your internet and phone subscription?
Our internet, cable, and home phone package is about 800 RUB per month.

How much do you pay for an espresso coffee?
I don’t drink coffee at all so I don’t know.

How much do you pay for a cinema ticket?
It ranges from about 150 RUR on weekday mornings to about 1,000 RUR for premium seating on weekends.

How much does a gym membership cost in Russia?
Anywhere from 1,500 RUR up to ridiculous amounts depending on the gym.
