Priscilla - right now it is impossible to give accurate pricing.  The economy is slowing, unemployment is growing and prices are going up daily.  There have been protests in almost every city against the austerity program.  The average Tunisian cannot manage these price increases so it will mean either wages must go up (highly unlikely) or there will be a movement to unseat the government.  Either way, I will try to update prices in the next few days but these can only be temporary guesses.

I live in Sfax and things are priced differently here than other cities. I've deleted questions I don't know the answer to.

How much does it cost to rent an apartment or a house in Tunisia?

200TD-1000TD depending on where and how big of a place you want

How much do you pay on average for public transportation (bus, subway, train, tram, taxi)?

A ride across town in a taxi is 5 dinars. A ride in a blassa taxi is 1 dinar.
A ticket on the train tonight Tunisia is 18dinar
a louage to chafar  is 3 dinar

How much do you pay for basic food items such as rice, bread, and pasta?
Bread is 250mil-2 dinar a loaf
Cheese is 3-6dinar for 100 grams
Pasta is 500mil-3 dinar a kilo
If it's local it's cheaper if it's  imported or special then it's going to cost you more

What is your monthly budget for groceries?

My weekly budget for food for me and my husband is 100 dinar. We buy cheese and peanut butter though so that adds to the cost. You could probably get away with 50 dinar for two people if you live frugally and eat mostly vegetables

How much does it cost to see a doctor/dentist/physician/specialist in Tunisia?

Doctor visit cost me 50 dinar
Urine test cost me 70
Sonogram cost me 75
I just had a filling replaced because mine fell out I had to go three days over three weeks and the total cost was 100 dinars
My husband's insurance paid 2/3rds of the cost of all of these things

How much do you pay for health insurance per month?

We have country provided medical so it costs nothing. They only pay 250 dinar every 6 months to doctors for you though

How much do you pay for your internet and phone subscription?

30 dinar a month for Wi-Fi
5 dinar a week for my phone ( but I rarely use it)

How much do you pay for an espresso coffee?
800mil-3dinar depending on the coffee shop

How much do you pay for a cinema ticket?

No cinema in sfax
