Hello dears. Have you ever sent a parcel from Romania to any non EU country?
How long does it usually take? Do they have express as well?
And how much they charge for a 5-6kg parcel? On their website i didnt find the answers to my question because first of all the info regarding the international parcels was in romanian and didnt really include tarifs :)
Thanksss

They have an English language option, look in the upper left corner.  All of the information you want is there in English.

I have not shipped anything out using posta romana, but I have had things shipped to me from EU and non EU countries. Sometimes it’s been up to 4 weeks or more from EU countries to arrive to me as I assume things get lost.  If you can afford, use couriers like DHL, FedEx etc as they have a better delivery in my opinion.

Is there anyone on this forum who would be willing to help an American with a Posta Romana issue/problem?

I am having issues with s package I sent to Romania for a friend as a surprise birthday present. I don’t speak the language of know anyone else in the country to ask for assistance.

They have misplaced my parcel, the found it, and now it just says in processing. It seems very different than how customs works here and I’ve read horror stories now. I wish I had used UPS or fedex now but it’s too late to do anything but try and find out what’s really going on and if someone on this forum would consider helping me if the package doesn’t move in another few days, it would mean the world to me.

I could send you a PayPal reward or something for your trouble but the customer service through email is bad and I don’t think they always understand me and certainly don’t seem to care about the urgency of the situation and how disappointed I am.

There’s nothing in the package that’s not allowed to be shipped to Romania or anywhere else. It cleared USA customs quickly and honestly I have never had an experience like this.

But maybe if someone who speaks both Romanian and English would inquire on my behalf something could be done to make things could as quickly as possible and if they’re holding it for some reason, I could settle it.

I understand in Europe you have to open your packages and pay a fee which seems weird to me but I was just going to pay my friend whatever she paid out of pocket after she was surprised by the gift but I thought that happened in her local city so I’m not sure why it would even be sitting in customs at all if she has to open it in front of someone anyway later.

It’s all very confusing and stressful when you don’t understand and can’t really communicate with someone or find anyone who cares about my problem. They certainly don’t seem to care at Posta Romana.

Would anyone be willing to help me? Thank you so much for your time in reading this.

You don't say where you ate mailing from, but I would suggest that a birthday present is not truly urgent.
From some countries (the USA for sure) there are inexpensive, reliable, and slow options.
Sorry I can't help otherwise.
