Hi, Im new to this blog. At the moment we are still in the UK, awaiting visa's to travel over for a visit, with the prospect of my husband accepting employment offer in Riyadh. This may sound like a silly question. Would like to know how much cash is it advisable to exchange for duration of 5 days. Our hotel is covered by company. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Well, then I think it depend on how much you wanna shop.

It's cheaper than UK though, so just imagine your 5 days expense in UK and multiply it by 7 for Saudi Riyal expenses

Hi, again. My husband want's to know if it is acceptable for hime to wear short sleeved shirts as he has a tatoo on his lower arm. It is not an offensive one, wife and children (2) names. Thank you

Thank you Khobar. So it would be wise to wear long sleeved shirts. Another question to anyone please, is it acceptable for him to use rolling tobacco? (your straight forward cigarette. Thank you anyone in advance.

there are places where smoking is prohibitted, but every where else, its just fine.. SOme companies have designated smoking areas. Malls also have smoking and no smoking areas.

Thank you Khobar. I also have the bad habit of smoking (I dont roll my own though). Is smoking for a woman totally out of the question? Hope you dont think Im wasting your time with what might appear to be trivial question's. Your answers are really helpfull.

The name is RG.. not khobar.,. that s the place..

and well I have seen women smoking in coffee shops and stuff. not an issue at all..

and Never a waste of time!

i was already laughing with this khober thingy but your explanation made it worse

and yes taff your hubby can wear short and no sleeve because he has privileged to be a MAN (even with a tattoo)
