Hello,

We invite you to share information regarding some of the apps that have helped to facilitate your move abroad in Belgium. This will help expats-to-be who are making the move as well.

Which apps did you use while preparing your move to Belgium?

What apps do you use the most for your everyday life in Belgium: whether it's for transport, managing finances, general information, learning the language of your host country, leisure activities, etc.?

How does this technology help you in your everyday life as an expat?

Which apps would you recommend to expatriates in Belgium and why?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hmmmm Duolingo is a nice tool for learning a bit of vocabulary!

Also, not particular to Belgium... but I use Stocard: very handy to store all your fidelity cards and not crowd your wallet.

That's all I could think of for now!

The best apps for new comers to Belgium are the neighbours!!  We came here before computers, & we found that getting to know our next door neighbours was a good way of finding out how things work here.  Anything we needed to know about was an excuse talk to them. The only trouble was that at that time people didn't know about extending the answer. They would reply exactly to the question asked. Now, of course, with the advent of so many countries entering the EU, people here appreciate the art of "getting to the bottom " of problems for non Belgians & taking them one step further in the 'way things work' here.  The basics of life here is to find out how a Belgian does it! That is... Speaking as a 'man (or woman,) in the street'.
