Visit to Salgar Coffee region

Post new topic

Hello,
I'll be returning to Medellin in a few weeks, and this time I'm interested in traveling to the Salgar region to visit some coffee farms.  Does anybody have any prior experiences with coffee farms?

Much obliged.

Apparently, Salgar is not a region per se, but a small municipality of 17,000 about two hours drive southwest of Medellín.

The town suffered a devastating landslide in 2015.

If you post again, perhaps you would share with us why you have chosen Salgar, Antiochia, instead of Pereira, Armenia, Manizales, Chinchiná, Salento or the other better-known places in the Coffee Zone.

Source of driving time from Medellín:  Google maps.
Source of other information about Salgar in this post:  Wikipedia Spanish-language article on Salgar.
