Hello all,

Just spent three month traveling in Morocco, really enjoyed my trip.

I'm wondering how difficult it is to become resident, especially as an artist, with no corporate backing or pension income.

Is it possible as long as one has the necessary fund?

Armand

Hi TrappeurSup :)

I hope other members will be able to give you some useful advices soon ;)

Hey,

well if you re just willing to stay in Morocco longer than 3 months you can do visa run you drive to tangier then u exit to Ceuta which is 25 kms from tangier and u comeback this will take you around 3 hours bt depends in which city you will be staying but sure if you want to have bank account .... then yo need a residence and once you can show you have enough founds they can arrange something so better once you are there check with Immigration or with Moroccan consulate in Canada.

You can do the visa run for a while but eventually,if you want to stay long term, they will catch up with you. (A friend has his car impounded on the return leg of a visa run).
The other alternative is to start your own company. As daunting as it sounds, its not that complicated, and as an investor you automatically qualify for a residence permit (although there is paperwork involved)
