Hi all,
My wife and I are looking to move from the USA next year and Porto looks like it fits our needs very well.
not to hot , not to cold just right.
A nice sized city with friendly people
Great food.
An airport nearby.
My question is can a couple live on 3000 Euro a month.
We need at least a 2bed rental. We don't need a car but good public transport in or near the city center
Thanks for any advice?

Welcome to the forum.

Check out www.numbeo.com for living costs. Also take the time to read other posts on the subject as it has all been covered before. You can check rental prices in the housing section top of this page.

Hi.

3000€/month is a very generous amount and more than enough to have a great live in Oporto. the 2-bedroom apartment rental will take the biggest portion of the budget and will cost you anywhere between 500€-1200€ depending on location, size and amenities. You should forecast between 300€-500€ for food and utilities. That will leave you plenty of money for personal spend (eating out, cloth, travel, transportation and health insurance if you don't want to rely on the public health system).
