Hi i’m anne from Khobar,
I would like to ask about dating here in Corniche al khobar. I saw a lot of couples walking around the park. I’m currently in a relationship with and expat frm europe and would like to just walk and talk at the said park. But we are afraid to be caught...we also planned to go to Bahrain and will be joining him on his car too..
Question:
1. Should we avoid dating at the park even if we are both expats?
2. Is it a bad idea to join him in the car so we can go to bahrain together and avoid the overpriced taxis or uber cars just to get there?

Halimaab

The car ride is a bad idea they will ask for your iqama and will know you are not related

azhar_bf

if you dont like to see yourself behind bars, then avoid.

1- No, you can date him anywhere, nobody can stop you from dating him, however, you gotta respect our culture, you can't kiss him in public, or let him grab you from behind, etc, the locals won't accept that, holding hands is fine thou

2- They won't bother and ask if you're related to him or not, all they want is your ID/Visa, pay few cash (gate fees and insurance), and they'll check the car if there is anything illegal, pretty much it

Of course not allowed ... at least in public ... be carful ...

I agree on that

Anne as long as you and your boy friend are respecting the culture of the country and not over doing it you will be fine. I never walked the park but I have been several times to Bahrain with colleagues and not once were we confronted or asked.
