Finding feet in Brussels

Post new topic

ptom

Hello,

I work in the field of accounting/ finance related regulation. I am sort of new to Brussels having moved here in May 2017. I am originally from Kenya and was living in the UK/London for 15+ years prior to moving to Brussels on a company transfer last year.  Prior to my stint in London, I had lived in Johannesburg -South Africa for nearly eight years and before that in Nairobi-Kenya- where I was born, brought up and spent the first 25 years of my life. I have also lived in the US for six months in 2015 and Spain for about 10 months in 2003/4. Hence, have some experience adapting to new cultures and habitats but every place is unique often with a need for one to reset themselves and learn the particulars.

I plan to learn French in the next year and also hoping to make friends with interests in social entrepreneurship and sharing enriching expat, cross-cultural experiences.

Welcome ! and good luck !

Thanks!
