Exit Permit Only, kitas and imta infos

Hi there,

Please any one can get me an answer..
I am currently working in a company and my working permit goes till September.
However the company doesn’t sponsor my kitas as I have spouse sponsored one.
My kitas goes till June.
I resigned few days ago and I have to get back to my country for an unknown period of time.

I wish to establish an EPO for my kitas and my first question is how long after my passport get stamped am I allowed to stay over Indonesia? It is until my kitas ends?

Secondly, because the company that employs me doesn’t sponsor my kitas, will imigrasi block my EPO? Will they need any paper from the company or they won’t even know that I am an IMTA holder?
Because I know that it is not the same government department that issues kitas and imta.

Thanks!

Immigration and IMTA are different and under different agencies laws and regulations.  You can move freely on your wife's sponsored kitas.  It can be renewed within days at your local office if required.  You are not required to exit due to IMTA being cancelled if you have other documents allowing your stay in Indonesia.  It just means no work allowed (if spouse sponsored) as per the conditions listed on kitas document.  You will also have to renew police card and SKTT to align with renewed spouse sponsored kitas.  Source-i used to work at Freeport and am married to a queen of ambon.

An ordinary working KITAS sponsored by a company must be cancelled immediately at end of contract or if you are to leave the job if issued in Jakarta you get 5 days grace before you must leave the country if issued elsewhere it’s 3 days, day one being the day you cancel, this was the case approximately 1 year ago

Guys thanks but like I wrote, I am under spouse kitas already AND I own an imta..

Please can you tell me how long after EPO issued we can still stay in the country thanks a lot

As per the dates on your wife sponsored kitas. If you intend to return with your national wife just renew your kitas prior to leaving as it has multiple entries and exits and then you can return as normal .  The IMTA cancellation only relates to your work status.

The exit permit is simple enough, it just requires a letter from your sponsor (Wife) and whatever paperwork immigration ask for, that usually being photocopies of passport, KITAS and whatever else they fancy.
The IMTA only relates to your employer so, assuming your employer has agreed to you leaving early, there are no issues.

Thanks again.

So, my kitas ends in June. Let’s say tomorrow I get an EPO, I can still stay till the end of my kitas right? Even with the EPO issued? So the kitas doesn’t get cancelled until me crossing the imigrasi at airport?
Sorry but still not very clear to me ahah!

(Talking about my kitas only)
