Can i deported by ica ????

My question is :
1. How many time the limit for LTVP holder can apply job in singapore?
- There is no limit but often changing a job (no matter what could be the reason, looks like job hopping), unless you prepare an explanation against each resignation then MoM may consider.

2. If  i apply new job again, will mom reject my LOC? If mom reject it , whats the worst will happen to me ?
- MoM does take each case on its merit. So, difficult to say that MoM will reject your application based on last two short term jobs.
- If MoM will reject LoC then the worst case, you will be sitting at home.

3. If i apply too many job like this, which is only short term job like 1 month or 2 month then resign, can ica deport me with that reason??
- ICA may not deport but it may affect on your LTVP renewal time but again ICA will take your case and decide on its merit.

4. What should i do of i wanna apply new job again?
- You should make sure don’t join a job if you can’t sustain there. Or else every 2 months job changing won’t help you in your career.

LTVP does not allow working on LoC. I assume you have an LTVP+, that does (a small but important difference).
LTVP+ is given to foreign spouses of Singaporean who have been married for at least three years, or who have kids together. It usually has a validity of three years. Why did you only get one year?

U said having short term job like me may affect to the renewal of the ltvp, What is that mean? If i canot do renewal bcoz ica reject it, means i only can stay at sg for 30 days per trip?

The employer who wana hire me in this new job she said if i have a job, ica will give longer time in the next renewal of ltvp , maybe ica will give 3 or 5 years ltvp, is that true if i have a job i can get ltvp renewal easier ?

What do u think abt my case, should i take that job? I think this time i can last very long there..?

Yes maybe u r right , its LTvP+. Even i also duno whats diff between ltvp n ltvp+, and i also duno why mine is only 1 year. It issued september 2017 , n will expire at september 2018.

I think i only get 1 year bcoz last time when my husband apply that ltvp n it not accepted yet by ica, we travel to overseas one time , so he must update new travel number in my imigration card. We shouldnt travel but theres emergency at that time. It affect to my ltvp application, he must change some of it , then apply again.. maybe thats why ica only give me 1 year, its like probabation or sumthing hehe i duno...

Job hopping is not considered good in the market. If you have had genuine reason to leave those two jobs after working few months then you may have to provide explanation, if required by MoM.

If LoC is rejected then there is no way you can work here under LTVP plus. Yes, if you have a secured job in hand then chances are very much likely that ICA will renew your LTVP plus prior to its expiry.

If my loc rejected by mom, will it affect my ltvp renewal ?? Is it possible for ica to not give new ltvp to me bcoz of my loc rejection?

I think LoC and LTVP renewal are separate issues and should not affect each other much. But you can never be sure, since ICA does not publish its evaluation criteria. (And the criteria do seems to change sometimes.)

So the conclusion is i think i can apply new job rite ?

I think here, nobody said that you can’t apply for a new job.

You can always apply for new jobs. If you get one, and then if you get an LoC that allows you to work there, is open. But without trying, you will never find out.

Just apply for LOC if u want the job, approve or not is up to MOM. As for the LTVP+ renewal, all u can do is just renew online as early as 3 months before the expiry date and hope that ICA will issue with a longer period. Just pray hard that both will approve your application.

Hi I wanted to share my experience to shed some light into this matter of renewal of LTVP. My husband is married to me a Singaporean. After marriage applied for ltvp, waited two months plus to get it in 2013. After child is born he got LTVP + and so his work permit got changed into LOC. But when he changed job twice each time in the last three years, each LOC application took 2.5 months to process by MOM. Now his LTVP+ expiring in June. We submitted a renewal application in end January. Until now is under processing even the stated time is 6 weeks or more in some cases. But in our case is nearly 14 weeks now. If never get a reply from ICA his LOC will be cancelled once his LTVP+ expires and he cannot work. ICA only keeps saying at any point in time he needs to be on a valid visa. Dont understand the logic why after MOM check and process your LOC gives you permission to work in Singapore, why ICA has to again process and check if he can stay here or not.

If his LTVP+ is not approved in time, he needs to leave Singapore when the old one expires until the new one is approved - and he will also lose his current LoC and thus the job. You should approach ICA to ask if there is any temporary extension or another way toi prevent this. If that is unsuccessful, you should contact your MP.

Already wrote to ICA and to the deputy commissioner in charge for visit pass. Same reply. In some cases may take more than 6 weeks and any time make sure have valid visa to stay in Singapore. Only thing they said if ltvp cancelled apply for short term stay extension. MP is useless in my opinion.

Sometimes letter from MP or local ministers help to achieve faster result in your favour but sometimes it goes against you as many ICA officers don’t like these kind of recommendations. Good luck

Loc and LTVP + are in fact very much linked. After submitting an application for ltvp+ renewal ( on 29th jan2018) it was approved on 15th May 2018. The LOC tied to the old LTVP+ expired on 2nd June. ICA gave 5 years upon the renewal (2nd time) for the ltvp +. At also gave a temporary LOC that was issued by MOM enabling to work for a month in the same company and same position during the time the company applied for a renewal for LOC.

This time only for renewal for LOC, MOM has placed this application under the two months time frame for processing under the vetting agencies. Usually renewal takes only days. But in my husband's case, this is the third time same situation.

Seven months ago for this company when he newly submitted an application to join, the LOC took 2.5 months. Now again for renewal under same company after 7 months again same scenario. Why bcos LTVP+ expired and LOC needs to be renewed.

Prior to that two years ago when he changed job his new LOC application took 2.5 months as well.

Now company doesn't want to wait for him during the 2 months that was stated by MOM.
