Stable union visa

Can anyone please walk me through the process of the stable union. I'm an American trying to live in sao paulo with my girlfriend who is brazilian. I need to work and I know for that you need a certain type of visa .

If your intention is to remain in the country with a stable union. You will have to be living together for more than 1 year to apply for residency. For more information you should go to the federal police website

As Saint stated the information is on the pf.gov.br website. Since you are not same sex I would recommend marriage over stable union.
