Is 52000 DKK per month (before tax) a good salary in Denmark?

Hi Folks,
I am considering a position for Senior Consultant (IT) in Denmark and the offered salary is around 52000 DKK per month. I am single and plan on moving in the area around Billund/Vejle. Is it a good salary in Danish standards? How much net salary can I expect? I did some research about taxes and it seems to be very tough. All opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Hi PradyB,

It is absolutely a very good pay.    :)

The taxes may seem tough as you put it, but I think we get value for money.

Yearly income 630,000 kroner, living in Billund municipality, single = tax 247,076.40 kroner.

No pension scheme?

Hi Nellie,

Thanks for your response. Pension is 8% of gross paid additionally by the employer. 4% employee contribution will be deducted from the gross 52000 DKK.

What about cost of living in this locality?

Thanks!

In that case, the calculation will look a bit different.
Yearly income (630,000 - 25,000) 605,000 kroner = tax 233,311,90 kroner

I think above links will give you an impression of the price level. It seems that there are some possibilities in Billund, and as I live in the Copenhagen area, the prices seem very resonable to me.

Normally, all apartments are rented out unfurnished, only sublets are rented out furnished.

However, ask the company for assistance in that direction.

Thanks Nellie!  :)
