Moving family and kids from India to Bangkok

Post new topic

Hi,

I am moving my family and 2 young kids (4 years and 3 years) to Bangkok. My office is in Lumphini and need to take a rented accommodation there along with schooling of kids. I will be staying in Bangkok for at least 2 years. Can anyone help with the below -

1. Preferred location to reside with family (considering less travel time and near to public transport) and what type of accommodation will suit (Condo / 1 BR / 2 BR etc)
2. Cost of above accomodation
3. Good international school in the near by areas
4. Cost of school for 2 kids

Thanks !!

Welcome...
I am not too familiar with that area accept when I go to the US Embassy on Wireless Road, but I know there is a huge park, Lumphini Park that has MRT underground access near by and there are two different BTS sky train lines running thru the area. The Phloen Chit BTS Station & Chit Lom BTS station are the two sky train stations in Lumphini on the main Sukhumvit line. The Ratchadamri BTS station is on the Silom line. I would look for accommodations in the area if you want to walk to work or If you don't mind taking sky train every day then you can live further away down one of those sky train lines. The sky trains run about every 5 minutes. I live in the Phrom Phong area near BTS station where condo rents from 20,,000 to 50,000 THB per month for 2 BD depending on development.

I will try to do a little research and see where the international schools are located.
Kindly, Zeus
