Hi I am a single man and 57 years old and I love surfing . I am seriously want to live in Bali . I will have about $700,000 AUD in funds  after I sell my house  . Is that enough money to live well and live in a nice villa with a pool . Thanks Geoff.

I think it's very subjective. I am moving over in January having rented a villa for 6 years. We have paid $11,000 a year then furniture on top and some extra fixtures.

I am budgeting up to $40,000 Au a year which I think is more than enough (but would rather have too much than too little). I also have some rental income from my Australian house which will fund holidays.

There are two of us on that budget.

You could rent a nice unit with electric included for about $300 a month.

Food can be anything from less than $1 a meal. The night market serves great food for less than $2.50 a meal.

Thanks for your insight and help  Petermet . Geoff.
