Wife and My visit to Quito and Cuenca where is best to meet ex-pats?

Hi,

My wife and I will be in Quito and Cuenca this visit to Ecuador to see how we like it. We would like to see as much as possible and meet as many of the ex-pats in the know, those who have blogs, etc. as we can. What is the best starting point?

We arrive in Quito on May 14th Sat. will stay until Mon. May 16th then to Cuenca Tue. 17th until Thur. the 19th and in Quito Until Sat 21st when we leave.

Anyone who wants to meet up and give us the scoop please let me know. If there are meet ups planned at any bars or cafes at this time please let me know. Thanks to everyone hope to see you soon!

Here in Cuenca there is a Tuesday night get together at a local resturant and a Friday night get together at Zoe's. Not a clue about Quito, althought I know that there is an expat community there.

I think the one at Zoe's starts at 17H00, but others might know more.
