Advice/Tips for Moving to Texas...?

Hi everyone,
I'm considering moving from the UK to the US (Texas) to find a teaching job.
I just wanted to know if anyone has ever done this? If so, what advice/tips/precautions etc can you offer?

There are a lot of foreign teachers coming to USA. Best is to check with school districts about hiring foreign trained teachers. That's what I did with my current job...called about 4 hospitals and got directly hired so no agency cut from my salary and you can even negotiate for the pay and relocation bonus. Interviews are usually through skype or phone.
