In IT field it’s a common trend where consultants or outsourcing companies such as Infosys, TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant or Nityo Infotech or Optimum (these are the major players in the market who hires Indians here). Then they send you to the clients (mostly global banks or financial institutions). So you work under the vendor’s payroll but work for their clients.

It has pros and cons. The major difference is you are not the employee of the bank rather a contract staff or consultant. So, you are not entitled for direct benefits under a bank or financial institution but you can get benefits under the consulting firm as you come under their HR policy. Hope this clarifies your doubts.
