Women driving

Post new topic

Hello

I am creating this post to see if we can help each other gather the information that so far doesn't seem to be easily accessible.

As they have announced that there is already a process in place  for women who already hold an international driving license to obtqin a saudi one. I tried to reach the Traffic police , without a success. Also the SDS at PNU said they don't do it. Anyone got any info on the process please share. Much appreciated.

you have to wait i think 2 month or 3 month soon you goona out and drive . not big issues . 10 of the month which is 10 / 10 / 1439 in Arabic

about ur international driving license i guess its works in here . you can buy ur own car by ur name and be ready for it GL

give me ride for that info

I believe that international drivers licence only works if you are not resident, once you are you will need go by the process, just like for male applicants.

There is nothing specific on that yet I believe they are still working on it I heard that some women driving schools have already started giving lessons.

The driving school at PNU said that there is a place at Riyadh airport where on the day that women will be legally allowed to drive 10th Shawaal one can go and get the license changed. They seem to claim that it can only be done from that date onwards which i think is not right and not fair. There are no documents required published yet anywhere. And it will take us time to perhaps get translations or get all the documents required.Hopefully they will publish them soon and open up the process earlier than 10th Shawaal.

ook so now the women in saudi still not allowed to drive? when they gonna enforce it? I thought the ban supposed to be lifted by this year. It would be so much easier if women can drive without having to depend to man. So many places i wanna go in saudi actually but because of the rules I just spent days in compound playing squash ^o^
