Hi
My husband's work visa has been arranged by the employer. We got an email saying the "Visa has been approved and we need to go an collect it from Embassy (New Delhi)".
Does anyone here have any idea as to what documents should I carry for collecting the Visa from embassy?

What's a work visa, is it something new?
If you mean he has an IMTA and that has allowed him to get approved for a KITAS, take everything you can think of.
Birth certificates, passport, copies of the work permit (If you have access to it), and everything else.
.. and photocopy the lot so you have copies of everything.
