I will be going to Us Embassy to get my Lieu of get married. My question is will they keep my divorce papers or just look at them. Do I did to get a second certified set ?

I took mine and offered to show the guy there, his exact words were " I dont care, you are just swearing to something". they just want your $50. I hope you dont run into the bs i did when I actually went to get married. I had to request a cenomar even though I had the certificate of legal capacity to marry, and even though Im divorced, the fact that my ex is from philippines stopped the marriage dead in the water....I have 2 choices, pay $3000 to rip off lawyer to get my divorce recognized and cenomar recognized and wait a year, or travel abroad with fiancee and marry in Thailand and pay probably more but get married so much quicker.....total bullshit.
