Does anyone have info on this? Does it have to go through Manila.

Gday mate
Best off to e-mail or call the Australian embassy
http://philippines.embassy.gov.au/mnla/passports.html
Hope that helps I'll be flying back to Oz to do mine also driver's license.. and a shop just can't find good coffee in Philippines
Cheers mate

Thanks mate. You wil be able to get some great  unsweetened bread again. I looked online about the renewal of the passport and it looks like you have to go to Manila to get it. More worried about the cost as it says doing it overseas will cost you AU $100 plus extra. But to be sure we will ring.

I have since found out that to renew my passport in the Philippines i will have to pay PHP 15,082 or AU $387.  This equals 12 weeks aged pension. Google states that this is the most expensive passport renewal in the world. When you reach 75 yo you can now get a 5 year one at a discount price.

Had a laugh guys, yes to the bread and coffee, but the San Mig is good and cheap.
Found this as you probably have Kenny.

For the extra 100 bucks it's not worth returning to Oz unless you have other things to do.
As Pup suggests call our embassy and see what the deal is and if you can do it online or locally.

Cheers, Steve.

They insist you front up to the Embassy to renew your Passport. Cheaper than returning to AU but a lot of money to pay (12 weeks Aged pension). You have to pay in cash or use a bankcheque. And they use a bad exchange rate. Means at least one or maybe 2 trips to Manila. Really pissed off that S&R are no longer selling lemon jce. Only place where we have managed to purchased it. Really miss beetroot. Enjoy your day all.

I really only drink the flavoured beer (lemon or apple). I worked at Accolade Wines for many years so drinking is not so important to me. Love the friendly people here.

In coffee i drink kopiko brown which i find nice.

It's more stressful in the Philippines
Looks like manila is the only option mate wish you luck
Anyway as I said I'll return and do mine also shop...and eat..man I miss good cheese, coffee and I'd kill for a decent meat pie ,sausage roll and I'd smash a few chicorolls and some fish & chips
😂

The 12 weeks aged pension  for the cost of the renewal of the pass port is wrong.  Should have been a little over 1.5 weeks

Only stressful driving with so many undisciplined drivers out there especially the taxi drivers who are supposedly are professional . Davao is a much nicer place to live than Manila.

Kennyboy49

Yes i do miss nice fish and chips. Our filleted fish is much nicer to eat. Even the chips here taste different.
