Visa for Thai Wife

Hello,

I'm currently working in Kuwait and I'm from the US. I want to bring my wife who is Thai, living in Thailand to live and work with me in Kuwait.

What is the best way to accomplish this? Should I apply for the dependent visa and then change it to a work visa when she's in Kuwait?

Or is it better to go right for the work visa? Also once I have the marriage certificate from Thailand, what is the next step?

Hi Adam

The easy and fast way is applying for a spouse visa . You need her passport, pictures 2 or 4 , marriage certificate and application form for spouse visa which you can find it in the immigration office.

Work visa is harder because you need to find her a job or a sponsor.

Thanks for your response. Is the spouse visa the same as a dependent visa?

After searching online dependent visa is what I keep seeing.

What would I need to do being in Kuwait and what would she need to do being in Thailand?

Does she need to go to the Kuwait Embassy in Thailand to get the form and other documents or is it online?

I know the marriage certificate needs to be translated into arabic.

Is there anything else I have to do in Kuwait?

I really appreciate your help with this.
