Invitation Letter to bring my mother on visit visa.

Post new topic

John Fernandes

Hello All,
I am working in Germany as a Kitchen Chef for the last 3 years. I am from India but holding a portuguese Nationality. I wanted to bring my mother on a visit visa and one of the formalities is an invitation letter. Could anybody help me on this topic please?Where I can make this letter and what attestation is required. Thank you all in advance.

A Portuguese does not need a visa or invitation - she can just come and stay with you!
(In case your mother is not Portuguese, which you did not mention, the situation might be different. In that case she should contact her nearest German embassy, where she intends to apply for the visa, to ask about the requirements.)

As beppi said, if your mother is holding Indian passport, she can work with the consulate office that has jurisdiction of the state she lives in.

http://www.vfs-germany.co.in  is the starting point. Select the consulate office and it will lead you to the visa process page.

Information available in VFS website is very comprehensive and clear.

Invitation letter samples: You can get plenty by googling "sample invite letter for german family visit visa" .

Look at this site. It explains in English the reasons and requirements for such letters. It also gives a sample letter that can basically be copied and the proper details filled in. I found this and other sites in 2 seconds by putting in "invitation letter for family to visit germany" at Google.
