Female Friends in Kuwait

Post new topic

HoneyinQ8

It's hard meeting people in Kuwait (especially when you are a shy type like me)

I've been here a while and it's starting get boring.  I'm 27 and I like watching movies, walking, bowling, going to places I've never been and I enjoy eating too! I love food!

I'd love to join a book club! It's just hard to find one that's nearby.

I am only looking for female friends.

A great start would be to post your picture on your profile so people know exactly who they are talking to.

Profile picture is nice, but it doesn't have to be a photo.
Stating gender in such a post is a good idea as this could be a lady looking for other ladies as friends, a man aiming at dating, or LGBT aiming at whoever they happen to fancy.
"Honey" suggests a lady, but who knows?

Hi HoneyinQ8,

I saw your posting and I can empathise. I'm a chap who is about to move to work in Kuwait - probably late next month - and anticipate establishing a new circle of friends may well be tricky.
A book club sounds like an excellent idea, and I'll look into setting something up when I arrive.
It seems that getting a social life organised in Kuwait generally takes a little more effort, perhaps because the social structures are less familiar. I don't go for the 'laddish', 'mate-ship' kind've  segregated ways that some men socialise. So, fitting in with a new way of working things won't be so bad.
Anyway, keep me up to speed with your own integration, and if I get a book club or similar off the ground (anyone else interested?) I'll be in touch.
Best wishes

Hello, nice people !!! Yes, it is difficult to make friends and stay in this place, either due to lack of time, tiredness, etc. but it's not impossible. Cheer up and good luck!!!!

Thank you. It is hard getting a social life in here. Hope you find your friends too!

Even though I am only looking for female friends I'll let you know if I find a book club.

Thank you!
