Hello,

I will be traveling to Kuwait in August from Canada and I am bringing my cat. I have completed all the required documents and have her up to date with everything. The problem is, I have no idea how to get the permit? The embassy states I can get it from PAAAF but I cannot reach them. I have read that some people did not have the permit, but got it once they landed. Problem is I will be entering Kuwait at 12am.

Any advice or suggestions?

Hi Ashley and welcome on Board ,

To obtain the import permit you need to contact the International Vet Hospital and they will request the following documents :

1- Proposed date of Importation (pets arrival to Kuwait).
2. Name, address & contact number of the Importer/Owner in Kuwait.
3. Copy of Passport/Civil ID of the Importer/Owner.
4. Copy of Vaccination History of the Pet/Vaccination Record. (Last Rabies & Canine/Feline Vaccines should be more than 30 days/less than 1 year).
5. Identification (Microchip Number).
6. Name of Pet.
7.  Breed , Age , Sex , Color of the animal.
8. Country of Origin
9. International Health Certificate from the Country of Origin (not required when obtaining the import permit,
but make sure the original IHC will travel with the pet along with other pet’s original documents).

The import permit will be valid for 30 days.

The International Veterinary Hospital are very helpful.
