Travelling with a pet to Zanzibar

Hello,

I am travelling to Zanzibar in less than 2 weeks and ideally I would like to bring my pet.
Did anybody ever travel there with a pet successfully? Please let me know how the experience was at the airport. I have my import permit already but I would like to know what to expect.
