Permanent Resident

Post new topic

JENNYMYNHARDT

Hi there.
We are thinking to become permant residents in about 2 years time when our only daughter finishes highschool. I understand we must buy a property of at least USD 500 000?! Is this true? Or are there any other way for us to go and live in Mauritius that is NOT so expensive regarding owning a home.
Also, my husband works all over the africa continent in the oil/gas industry, does this fact make it easier for us to live in Mauritius?
Thanks

Nadeem

If your husband works on a freelance basis, then he can apply for a Self-employed permit.

Else, you can also buy an appartment for min MUR6 million in a ground+2 building.
