Life as a female expat in Qatar

Post new topic

Priscilla

Hello,

While moving to a new country and discovering new cultures is definitely an exciting adventure, everybody experiences it differently. It can be particularly different for women, in both positive and negative ways.

What are some positive aspects about being a female expat in Qatar?

What are some challenges in Qatar that women face, and what are the ways to overcome them?

How is a woman's role viewed in Qatari's culture and society?

Is it relatively safe for a woman to live in Qatar?

How would a woman go about expanding her social network in a safe way?

Are there any resources available for women to help with their expatriation (e.g. books, articles, support networks, etc.)?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

Dear Prescilla,
Of course, Qatar is one of the booming economies in the world and the highest per capita income.
The life of a woman here in Qatar is very safe and respected.
There are many ways in which you can extend your social network based on your caliber and qualification in terms of working and job atmosphere.

Dear Prescilla,
Of course, woman here in Qatar is very safe. If you have any trouble then you can get help from police. they are very helpful. here accommodations are very expensive. More then any other gulf countries. there are many Clubs, Library (Qatar national Library, that is open for all), Play ground, more then 10 beaches, you can spend and enjoy your free time. pl. try not to move out side in the mid night.
