Hello everyone :)

I'm from Morocco and I want to continue my studies in Germany in eng.
I already found the program I want to apply to (thank God, it's free, lol).
But I want to know if it's possible for me to earn enough money to live if I don't speak German  (l speak Arabic, French, and English)?
And if it's possible what are the probable part time Jobs that my situation allows me to have?
I'm planning too to stared leaning German as soon as I get there.
Any advice about where and how to do that while studying and working?

Thank you so much for your help 🙂

I already replied to your PM with the same content.
PLEASE do not send PM and post the same here, as it means double work for the volunteers of this site (like me)!!!

The answer in short: Working on a student visa is restricted and meant to complement the classes (e.g. by often compulsory industrial attachments and internships). It is NOT meant to earn your full living expenses (although getting some pocket money is possible - IF you find a job, which is not sure without language skills).
If you work too much, your studies (which are designet to be full-time) will suffer.
Thus to work in Germany and earn money, you better get a work visa!

Beppi is correct. It is not legal nor really possible to work full time and study. In America one cannot work at all on a study visa. In Germany they make a practical exception and let foreign students work part time, for limited hours. Otherwise they can hardly study and would be seen as primarily workers rather than students and need a work visa. Part time jobs for students, even local ones, is usually for minimum wage and cannot cover the full cost of living. More information about this subject is available at the website of the German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD.
