3 months cooling period

Hi All,

I'm Sam from Myanmar. I've been worked at Sunway last year. But my HR had insufficient quota for me for renewal contract. So, I flied back to my country at 23rd July, 2018. They told me to wait 3 months cooling period.

If so, I can come back on 24th October, 2018.

But I have an important appointment at 20th October. I would like to come KL with round trip air tickets and only for 2 days (19th and 20th, October).

Can I come like that? Please advice me ...

The cooling off period is only needed after 3 years of contracts (Category III Professional and Foreign Worker EPs)*

You are not under contract, so you can travel to Malaysia as a tourist when you want. The cooling off is to do with employment, not visiting here.

But as you know, need to be outside Malaysia while EP approval is being processed and enter on a Visa with Reference (VDR)

*The lack of quota is NOT a reason for having a cooling off period of 3 months. The employer is just buying time to free up their quota
