Any employers or anyone who knows of any available jobs that are on here from gozo. i am keen and hardworking trustworthy and punctual. I require any form of work really i will consider literally anything. I am 31 years old Originally from england looking to move to malta with my partner to start our new life as a family with our first baby on the way and due in december.

my experience is in the areas of:manual work ,warehousing/picker packer,production/manufacturing, assembly, machine operating and fabrication. but i also have experience in sales, customer service and food retail and shop assistant. i am available to fly to malta from italy to undertake an interview to secure employment. I hope to move out to malta at the end of this month if i can secure employtment. then once i am established my partner who is expecting our first child will move out with me.

I am looking at gozo for the area of work because the accomodation is a lot cheaper for our needs. i would be willing to commute but dependant on how long the travel is. i am fully flexible regarding hours of work and overtime and willing to undertake any training necessary to secure a position. I have a full cv which i can send at the employers request. many thanks for reading.

A  good place to start would be the Jobsplus website on

https://jobsplus.gov.mt/job-seekers-mt- … ancies.To=

which should be the Gozo version.
Good luck

yes but this requires you to complete a cv. which i dont want because i have a current up to date cv in the form of europass. to input all the data onto here would take a while and most of the areas i work in do not come up in the options on the cv creator. if its not allowed then i will take it down.

You can browse it to get some idea of whats on offer.

There is also Jobs section above.

Also check out Face book group

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1607780432834034/

will need to request to join  but will also give an idea of whats available, but don't expect anyone to respond to requests for more info.

You will find a lot of things require  e-residency here, buy a car for instance.

You would have more chance of finding work in manufacturing in Malta then Gozo, there are not that many companies here the main one being the tomato factory plus a few smaller ones.   Have you visited Gozo?   Good luck hope you find something.

Yeah but can't afford to live in malta. Gozo is the place we want. If i dont find manufacturing I will take anything. Heck I'll scrub toilets so long as I earn a wage. I've searced a few jobs in gozo that I could do no problem. And also I have other skills like customer service and sales. Also picking and packing so tomatoes farms or fruit farms I could work easily. Do u reccomend any cheaper areas of malta in case our search has to change to the main land. Many thanks gozomo

Also no gozomo i have never been to the islands. My partner has been to the capital for a holiday before. We did a bit of research and found malta in our top 3 of places with low unemployment cheap costs of living and good educational structure for our baby. We decided malta on the above information and on  advice of my grandparents who took holiday in malta every year for their whole life (sometimes 3 a year) they tell me how beautifull it is and how nice the people are. For me all of that information meant we have to at least try. We want a life we want jobs. here in Italy we have nothing. And won't get better Italy is getting worse. And very difficult for anyone not itallian to take emplotment here. It seems italy are still in the dark ages when it comes to the 21st century.

Even darker ages here. The Maltese will always be the preferred applicant for a job followed by EU and then TCNs.  Also a lot of  jobs will require  Maltese speaking with English as a bonus.  Gozomo is right, more opportunities in Malta than here and probably the Northern end of the island would be cheaper to get an apartment, maybe Southern as well.
There are quite a few Brits bus driving here on Gozo and Malta, they are always advertising, but to really make money and have lots of opportunities you need to be in  IT / programming.

Ray, who doesn't work cos he's retired, thank God.... I don't envy you.

RayAucote

Out of interest, where were the other 2 "top places" to live?

You really need to visit here before deciding to move, you may be surprised at how small Malta is and Gozo is tiny, you may be able to get cleaning and shop work, the farms here are very small so not much chance of work opportunities, hope you manage a visit and find Gozo suitable.   If you do live here I personally would avoid Marsalforn and Xlendi as they are too touristy.

In the south what areas would be good places to start looking? I go where I need to for the work. I figured it would be malta itself I would find more opportunity.

In the south, you can try Marsa, Fgura, Paola, Zabbar, Luqa. All miserable towns but on the cheaper end of the rental scale.

GozoMo

If you don’t mind the traveling you could work in Malta and live on Gozo, a lot do commute.

Join this Facebook page and receive vacancies in Gozo where you might come across one suitable for either you or your partner.

At least there might be something which would do to get you started.
The big problem you have is that most jobs will go to people already resident here. Employers do not generally take any notice of overseas applications except for specialist vacancies, IT or Gaming.
