Hi ,I am looking for advice on behalf of my sister who is divorced from a Swedish National concerning her rights etc .The marriage lasted 13 years and in that time they lived in Sweden.When the marriage broke up she returned to Ireland with children with his permission but left without any financial resources as he was the breadwinner and she the house mother .I need some advice on how to pursue her interests and see what if anything she may be entitled too,is there a free legal agency that can help her in Sweden or is it better to use a lawyers firm in her own country..I am trying to get the ball rolling as she is in a fragile state and finds it hard to motivate herself.Thank you in advance for any advice ,kindest regards .

Well it depends on if they had written an agreement on property division before the divorce. If they did not then she got rights for half the properties they shared. I mean a prenuptial agreement. If they did not register such an agreement then half the stuff belongs to the lady in the marriage.
