Hi, I need some help!
I would like to get married in Mauritius but i have a problem. I am from Croatia, and translating papers such as birth certificate is extremely expensive so i was wondering if its possible to have a church wedding without those papers or just a symbolic wedding?
My biggest wish is to get married in Mauritius but i don't really have the money so i m trying somehow to make my dream come true :) thanks for the answers!!!

Christine

Hi laine_zg,

Welcome on Expat-blog! :)

Maybe you should ask the priest if you need those papers or not?

You may have a look at this website: Diocèse de Port-Louis

Congratulations!! :)

Hi,
I suggest that you marry in your country and come to Mauritius on your Honeymoon. You can always repeat your wows. A lot of toursit do that underwater its a good experience.

Cheers!!!

J'S EVENT PLANNER

Hi

If you cannot manage enough, you can get married legally in your country and come over to mauritius for a wedding reception.

You can have a church wedding in Mauritius, provided you are already legally married (ie. you've had a civil wedding) in your own country.

I don't think there are any barriers, other than organising the thing.
