Hello Christine,

Are these agencies authentic and trust worthy to put down money...

Thanks,

Christine

Hi NadeeR7,

I only suggested the page to find contacts but i do not know these agencies.

First of all, i advice people to read the guide > https://www.expat.com/en/guide/pdf/18_canada/ click on Download button. It is free and you will find lots of useful information about Canada. This will help to understand the procedure.

Thank you,
Christine

The process of immigrating to Canada can be daunting and overwhelming for the majority of aspiring immigrants. Many turn to "professional" agents and agencies to help facilitate their immigration applications.

VERY IMPORTANT:  Having an immigration agent or agency does NOT improve your chances of successfully immigrating to Canada.

In almost all cases, you can apply for Canadian immigration on your own.

Please visit the official Canadian government website for Immigration and Citizenship:

Perhaps the Canadian immigration authorities have a list of lawyers.

Unfortunately there is NO reliable source for good immigration lawyers and agents in Canada.

There is a national self-regulatory body called Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) which supposedly serves and protects the public by overseeing all licensed immigration lawyers and agents.

Ironically, the ICCRC itself has been recently subject to multiple allegations of mismanagement, misconduct, and poor governance. There have been strong calls for the government to disband the ICCRC and directly regulate the industry instead.
