Dependent visa conversion

Hi i am from India and have come to malaysia on tourist visa post marriage.. can i convert my tourist visa into dependent visa here in malaysia?? My husband has been working here since 4 years.. any advice would be of great help

A lot depends on whether you have the right paperwork in place. You need either to be in your husbands passport or to get your Marriage Certificate authenticated in Indiia

Usually you should apply while outside Malaysia and enter on a Visa with Reference. You husbands employer should enquire about the latest rules. Journey performed conversion was possible with an extra charge of rm500 but times have changed and it would be good to know the latest rules.

Mostly people don't have their marriage certificate authenticated and approved so it's wise for them to apply for the DP while still in India to avoid a wasted journey
