Change of visa collection center after stage1 approval.

Post new topic

Hi, my name is Hashaam, I am from Pakistan. I wanted to ask a question regarding working visa (IT Mdec) in Malaysia. I got a job in Malaysia, KL. And the company has already applied visa for me, but they accidentally entered a wrong "visa collection center" in Pakistan. By the time they could change my application got approved for stage 1.

Now my boss has already asked the people their to change the center of collection to which they said they have to restart the process and to some cancellation on their side before they restart the process again, my question was that how long would it again take for me to get stage 1 approval, earlier I got the stage 1 approved within 14days. So it might take the same time? and since it got approved once so there wont be any problem getting approved again?.

I hope someone could reply me and clear this confusion in my head. Would really appreciate. Thanks in advance.

They need to get the Visa Approval Letter changed with the new VDR authorised. It shouldn't take too long.

Stage 1 doesn't have to be approved again. Its just administrative.

Thanks a lot for your reply, appreciated. Just one more thing please, once it gets approved so what would be the next step? as in they will notify me or should I just assume they have already sent the VDR? Want to get prepared before everything :)

Gravitas

Employer usually sends you the VAL so you can arrange the VDR to be put into your passport

Alright, understood. Thanks very much for the explanation, now I would be able to sleep peacefully. :)

Hi, my boss just received this email,

Dear Valued Clients,

Greetings from eXpats Service Centre!

Effective from 1st November 2018, application of Employment Pass and relevant passes for Pakistani nationality, the hard copy of the following documents must be submitted to us:
      1)     Copy of educational certificate with original attestation/original certified true copy (CTC) by the Malaysian High Commission/Consulate General in Pakistan
      2)     Copy of marriage/birth certificate or proof of relationship documents with original attestation/original certified true copy (CTC) by the Malaysian High Commission/Consulate General in Pakistan

it says its effective from 1st Nov 2018, which is not there yet and my application is already in process, does it mean I have to fulfil these requirements???

Gravitas

If you are getting your Stage 2 done after 1st November you will require these documents.

In the past everyone had to dhow these  original documents once they arrived for stamping of the EP.

So a return to previous requirement.

Alright got it. My documents are back in Malaysia. Can I do the same attestation from Malaysia? Or it has to be from Pakistan?

And they want the original attestation on a COPY OF CERTIFICATE, meaning I just need copies of my docs and can get attestation, right? If yes then I can save time from asking my friends to send the docs which are in Malaysia.

Gravitas

For CTC always need to present the original and then the copy is endorsed CTC.

Looks like only in Pakistan from the wording.

You may be able to request a different solution if you explain you will only have access to original documents after arrival in Malaysia.

However, something sounded a bit more intensive. This is that the Qualifications certificate may need to be ATTESTED i.e. proof it's a legitimate award by the issuing educational establishment.

THEREFORE, I think you need to clarify with Expats for clear and exact requirements.

hash992

alright, got it. Ill try to go for the solution you just mentioned if not then better to do from here in Pakistan. Thanks a lot :)

Gravitas

But do check about whether the qualification needs to be endorsed as authentic by the issuing educational authority.......

I say this because in the case of Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificates etc. it may be that Pakistan nationals now have to do the same as Indian nationals, which does require the original to be attested BEFORE the Malaysian consulate does the CTC

Gravitas

Thanks for sharing the update from Xpats.

hash992

Yeap, will do check, by the way I have a copy of my educational cert stamped from my University in Malaysia saying its CTC.

as for birth cert that was done in Pakistan so I think it must have been attested by other authorities in Pakistan.

The best I can do is on monday I visit the consulate and ask them directly. No problem had to share the info in order to clear the doubts :)
