How To Move From Puerto Rico To Domician Republic

Post new topic

ckilpat01

I am told that when granting permanent residency the Dominican Republic has different requirements for Puerto Rico residents, as compared to other US citizens.

I emailed the Dominican Republic consulate in San Juan, but get no response.  Does anybody have information about this?

Thanks!

I don't think that is true. The only country with some special rules is Haiti.  If anyone has different confirmed info please tell us.

It is no surprise that you did not receive a reply from a Dominican Consulate. Paying them a visit in person might or might not get an accurate answer.

I do not think there is any difference for you as a US Citizen in PR versus a US citizen anywhere else to become a legal resident in the DR.
