I am wondering do I have any rights to a child if the mother is legally married but says her annulment is pending? I am a US citizen and she lives in the Philippines. The baby was also born in the Phillipines.

Can you please share your findings on this with me as I am in a similar situation. I heard whilst in the Philippines seeing my girlfriend , who is married that an annulment can cost up to 500, 000 pesos. I also heard that if the husband catches his wife being unfaithful he can report this to the Police and the wife can be jailed. (Not 100 percent sure this is true but my girlfriends husband is currently working in Kuwait.

I heard that she can be jailed, also. I am just trying to find out if I have any rights to my child being that she is still legally married. I am hoping to get him legalized as an American citizen. She and I are not on the best of terms right now. I wasn’t there for his birth so I am wondering if my name or his is on the birth certificate.

If you date her before the annulment you and her are both liable to go to jail If her husband files a complaint if she is not married then the childrens father may just kill you beware this happens a lot here
