Odd/even to expand to Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

Those of us that know this road are well aware of the massive problems so something needs to be done.
Whilst I support the odd/even, the cops really need to enforce lane discipline and take un-roadworthy vehicles off the streets. The vast majority of the jams are caused by truck drivers spreading their slow moving, often overloaded, vehicles over all four lanes so those issues needs strict enforcement.

Bekasi/Jakarta. Life is about to get a lot more complicated for anyone driving a private car in the capital and surrounding areas, as the city's odd-even traffic rationing policy is set to be expanded to the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road soon.

Starting from Monday, motorists traveling between Jakarta and Bekasi, West Java, whose car registration numbers do not match the date, either odd or even, will be prevented from accessing the toll road. The traffic police will start fining violators from Dec. 17.

The final part of the piece explains how illegal plates are being used by some drivers in the hope of dodging the system but I would very strongly suggest this is a very bad idea as the new plate reading tech is in operation, and that means your car would be impounded if you're caught.
