Christmas in HCMC

Today I drove through Pham The Hien Street in District 8 (from QL50) and saw that all over the street everyone started to install Christmas decorations.
I don't mean just a little bit, but really elaborate.

Therefore I recommend to all Christmas lovers to visit this street in a few days at night.

There is also a big church which is also decorated for Christmas.

Yeah, not just there, many Catholic churches in the city go whole hog with colored lights, silver foil, "stone caves" instead of manger scenes where jesus was born.
Phạm Thế Hiển west of the bridge Cầu Nhị Thiên Đường gets really crowded with visitors. Must see.
I understand many Catholics fled from Hanoi and settled in that area of Q8.

It should probably be up until the end of Tet. Christmas and New Years here are kind of melded. Historically, Christmas was celebrated long into the New Year.
