Can i continuously extend my tourist visa in the DR indefinitely just because or do they require a reason to approve an extension?

I believe the max extension is 2 months, if you came into DR with a tourist card (valid 30 days).

Or, forget extensions and just pay the shakedown at the airport when you leave.

You can extend 1 time for a total stay of 60 days.

When you leave pay the posted overstay fine! Know what it is in advance and have correct change in pesos to pay it.
