I submitted my visa application along with my wife for long stay as i have offer in Belgium. Consulate called me today.

They checked my last travel to belgium. My Visa dates were 30-May-2016 to 14-Aug-2016.
I travelled to Belgium on 3rd June and came back on 14th Aug. Total number of days i stayed in Belgium is 72.
But as per Visa it says 60 duration of days i can stay there. I believe this was missed by my last organization and they just applied for work permit till 14th Aug since my Visa says till14th Aug.

Consulate now asked me for cover letter explaining reason for over stay. Caa you please guide me with them same.

I have my extended work permit with me as well.

is there still a chance to get Visa..

List of documents:
Me:
1. Form
2. Cover letter
3. Contract of employment
4. work permit
5. Rental agreement copy (not mandatory)
6. PCC (legalized)
7. Medical certificate
8. Copy of degree and CV for reference (not required but I had attached since I mentioned on my cover letter that I have so and so experience and degree)
9. Copy of proof of contribution
10. Birth certificate legalised. Will be used when in Belgium
11. ITR for last 2 years

i applied on 28th Jan and got Visa on 4th Feb

YEs, when applying for long-stay, it is D type.
