Options for a freelancer from a non-EU country?

Hi all, I've been working as a freelance software designer for years and have been thinking about moving to Spain (Valencia or Barcelona maybe).

What are the best options for foreign freelancers in Spain? I come from a non-EU country and will keep working with my long-term US clients.

I also have a wife and a small child, so I'd need an option that could provide Visas for all three of us. Is there something that could do that (if I setup an agency or a startup, would they get visas too)?

Thanks in advance! :)

the non lucrative visa is likely your best option for the family.  we have hundreds of posts about non eu families moving to spain and provide ebooks and consulting as well.   let us know if you have questions.  Wagoners Abroad
