2200€ net monthly salary in Brussels

Post new topic

AlessiaCervi

Hi Everybody,

I have a job offer as a IT programmer in Brussels.
The job pays 2200€ net monthly.
Next week is my final interview and I am still doubtful if I should accept it or not since I do not know if the salary is good enough to have a decent living there and also save some money.
Please suggest about the living cost in Brussels.
Note: I am single so a share house or probably a studio flat would be ok for me.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Alessia

Hey!

There's no way to tell you if it's a good deal or not if you don't give more information about yourself...

What's your exp? How many years have you been working up until now? / diploma?
Any specialty/expert in something? (C/C++/ASM/Web/SAP/Oracle/Java/...)
How old are you? If I may...

Are you speaking fluently French/Dutch/English/...

Are you going to be a consultant or an employee?

What other advantage is your employer going to provide you? Visa, accommodation, insurances (hospital, group, ...), car, ...

What are your 'standard' for accommodation?

Do you have French/Dutch lessons to help you integrate in Belgium?

Depending on your answers, you'll get the right answer :)

As a hint, a "correct" accommodation in Brussels for a Belgian citizen is around 700-1000€+, but it depends on your standard and what you're expecting...
If you don't mind living in a 40m² studio, you'll find many place way cheaper...
