Have you heard the news about a major defiance open to ANY and ALL women who want to drive in The Kingdom?  This is going to take place on June 17 all over KSA.  There is a Facebook page called "I will drive starting June 17."  Check it out there or use this link:

I made so many mistakes typing this entry from all the excitement!!!

Ok.  Who's in?

Hopefully things will change in the near future, I really miss driving. However, when I see the way people drive here, without any regard for traffic rules, I don't think I wana drive here! The general policing & security is excellent, but the traffic control is non existent! People seem to drive & park the way they want to without any consiquence.

true dat !!! I have seen people going in opposite direction on the highway to avoid waiting at a signal ..

You haven't seen anything actually, a slight storm of rain or sand would result in high disorder. These people really need some awareness on emergencies. They cant wait in normal situations , only God know what will become of them in high emergencies/ crisis.

Driving here i a dangerous affair alright, and like saqib said, come a small duist storm, rain, etc, and the public goes even wilder!

and hey why blame the Saudis on how they drive. We, who all drive, have become accustomed to this, and therefor drive around in the same eratic way. you wont notice that until you go on vacation to someplace and then people yell at you! :D

i don't think that the woman can drive the car in Saudia before 5 years at least.

yea , the more you live here in Saudia, the more you will see mistakes in driving.

i born here in Saudia Arabia. i saw many things mistakes. But, there is good point that if you drive here in Saudia, you will be an expert in your country.

I believe women should drive, just not in Saudi. I mean just look at how many accidents occur in just one day.

The roads are pretty rubbish and the highway code is pretty much thrown out the window.:(

Pop Quiz.. Maths questions ..

1) A 350 KG car travelling at 20 km/h crashed from behind into a stationary wagon weighing at 500 KG.

Wat is the probability the car was driven by a woman ?

CyrusN

Women are better drivers than men and I have the stats to prove it :P
